Native American Story of Unknown Nation Origin
A Native American Elder was telling his granddaughter about a fight that was going on inside himself. He said it wass between two wolves.
"One is evil: Anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego. The other is good: Joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The granddaughter thought about it for a minute and then asked her grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"
The elder simply replied, "The one I feed."
This is perhaps one of the absolute best ways of describing the path to Theosis that I have ever read; and it humbles me. Ghospodi pomiluj.
